Hazard joins Mike Bravo Ops hoping to meet the godfather his father adored, but instead finds Decaf cold, distant, and nothing like the man described in those journals — despite Hazard’s inconvenient attraction to him. Decaf, still haunted by the loss of Hazard’s father, wants Hazard far away for his own safety, but Hazard’s stubbornness forces him into the protector role he promised. Their growing connection becomes tangled with grief, danger, and the ghost of the man who once bound them both.
A bittersweet story that carries two powerful threads with the intense, complicated relationship between Hazard and Decaf, and the emotional ending of the Mike Bravo Ops series itself. Both arcs are full of big emotions and heavy feelings, though the strongest moments come from watching Hazard and Decaf navigate their grief, history, and the fragile connection growing between them. The series ending hit hard. It felt sad to see these kind, loyal, tough men forced to flee for their lives and disappear, especially after everything they’ve survived. Their final chapters were moving, painful, and deeply human giving a farewell that lingers. This was an MM story with mature content.
