The familiar bond between Ethan and Axel might have been an accident, but it was clear from the start that they were naive to hope for any acceptance from their families as those prejudices ran deep and were never going to disappear overnight. That tension gave the story real weight. I loved the idea that the rich witches had an alternative to the Coven, something powerful and political that they controlled themselves. It added a sharp edge to the world‑building. The confrontation with Ethan’s parents was dramatic and satisfying, and the fox‑shifter skills were a brilliant touch, especially the way they turned the tide against their attackers. A story full of danger, drama, and long‑held grudges, with a bond that refuses to break even under pressure. This was an MM story with mature content.
