Review: Finding Beau by Alex J. Adams 5 of 5 stars

Finding Beau (Liverpool Boys, #2)

Finding Beau by Alex J. Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beau was called "Beautiful Beau" by those who made his life such a struggle. First, there was his drug-addict sister whom he was trying to keep safe with a roof over her head, second, there was his manager whom he couldn't say no to if he wanted to keep his sister out of prison and third there was his home which he is barely holding on to. He felt that he had no one to live for, nothing to live for and even though he was only twenty-three was ready to call it a day. Kwanchai is an aspiring K-pop star and he was dreaming big. When he was at a gig in Liverpool the beautiful bartender caught his eye and he wanted to know more about the man with the sad smile who is also taking a large part of his heart. Can Kwanchai make Beau see that he’s worth it, that together, they’re worth it before it’s too late?

This was an emotional read and I felt for Beau who was in an impossible spot caught in a repeating cycle unless he could find a reason to break free from that. Kwanchai was coping with his struggles although not on the same level as Beau and I could feel empathy for his situation. The two together were something special and it was great to see how Kwanchai was prepared to fight for Beau when he was too low to fight for himself. You will be caught up in their story like a moth to a flame. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content. Please read the trigger warnings.
