Five years after his serious assault, and unlike others who had perfect lives with partners, Liam's life had fallen apart finding himself in and out of rehab and unable to hold on to a job. He had started to wonder if he could care for anyone (including himself) anymore. Then Detective John Palmer turned up and offered to help. Can he learn to be the Daddy that Liam needs and when the past catches up can he love Liam enough to get him through everything?
This was a book with many facets but they all had Liam and John at the centre. I loved that John was prepared to work out what Liam needed and to be there for him. The link to the two men who had attacked Ziggy and Liam to a current case was interesting and I did wonder what caused the siblings to be like that. John's parents were lovely and it was great that they accepted Liam into the family so quickly. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
