My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Corey is good at keeping secrets including his own and so he never told anyone at the ranch about the pen pal he has had for years. Over the years his friendship with his pen pal shifted into something more. Ashley signed up to serve his country out of a sense of duty and he began the cycle of repeated deployments after the arrival of the first letter from his pen pal Corey every letter brought him joy and hope that he could be the man he wanted to be. Ashley decided to choose himself and leave the military and go meet the man he loved, his pen pal and his Daddy.
I loved this story with the two strong men who had a unique relationship that strengthened the love between them. I loved that Ashley knew all of the others at the ranch based on the details from Corey in his letters. It was also nice that they were able to communicate with each other due to the history of those letters. Easy to feel and understand it was great to read of such strong men who had real emotions. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.
