Lucas Attiker is a firefighter and still drowns in guilt because he couldn't save his young son and wife from a fire years ago. Owen Michaels is currently on the run with his young daughter after agreeing to testify in court and now the bad guys as well as the US Marshal Service appear to not be able to protect him either. When Owen's desperate flight puts him in the middle of an inferno the man who saves him might be his last chance at survival. Until Owen realizes that the real fire raging out of control might be how they feel about each other, and if they can finally risk getting burned.
This was a very dramatic story of how the love of a child and the love between two men could conquer everything in their path including treacherous friends, evil criminals and any others who would like to see them fail. I loved the relationship between Lucas and Owen and the rest of their family in baby Mia and the dog they inherited. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
