Review: This Won't Hurt by Cara Dee 3 of 5 stars

This Won't Hurt

This Won't Hurt by Cara Dee
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is the extended epilogue for the story of Roe Finlay and Jake Denver. It is a list of moments that chronicle the future of the couple's life together after overcoming their major conflicts. The short, evocative phrases suggest a journey that includes major milestones (The honeymoon, The kids, The awards), their ongoing professional partnership (The podcast, The Congo), everyday life (The food trucks, The barbecue, The vacation), and the enduring core of their relationship (The love). In short, it teases a look at the happy and adventurous life they build together.

I really enjoyed experiencing their lives after the previous books in the series. I loved the way that they supported the children with their own interests no matter what that was. This book was like an extended happily ever after that will make you smile. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: This Will Hurt II by Cara Dee 4 of 5 stars

This Will Hurt II

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a the second part of a story about Roe Finlay and Jake Denver, best friends whose lives and relationship are destabilized by buried feelings and emotional turmoil. Roe initially thought his life was stable—he had a wife, a child, and a successful career working alongside his best friend, Jake. However, he admits he is utterly dependent on Jake, needing him nearby just to "breathe easier." Roe's world is shattered when he discovers Jake's therapy journal, revealing emotional pain and instability beneath Jake's quiet exterior. This realization, combined with a near-death experience where Jake saves his life, forces Roe to confront the truth: nothing in their lives is settled, and their inseparable bond is about to face a major challenge.

I enjoyed this story with the two men who finally were together and accepting of their relationship. A lot of feelings and emotions as they adjusted their relationship and their relationships with those in their extended family. I loved the way that both men loved all the children in their blended family equally and made sure that no one was left out. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Lines Drawn by Abrianna Denae by Leigh Kenzie 5 of 5 stars

Lines Drawn

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Amato and Martelli Families are plunged deeper into chaos as the aftermath of their Bosses’ kidnapping reveals a far more sinister plot. Their fragile alliance is tested again, with old wounds reopened and trust unravelling under the weight of betrayal. As tensions rise and loyalties fracture, both families must confront devastating choices that threaten to destroy everything they’ve fought for. In a world where survival demands unity, they must decide whether their bond is strong enough to withstand the darkness—or if it will shatter completely.

I loved this story, which intensified the emotional stakes, weaving themes of trauma, fractured loyalty, and the brutal cost of power. So many dark things happened that the story was heartbreaking and the ending filled me with despair. So many big emotions and feelings it was like watching a tennis match. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM and MMM+ story with mature content.

Review: Finding Alfred by Lynn Michaels 3 of 5 stars

Finding Alfred

Finding Alfred by Lynn Michaels
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Alfred, newly relocated to the quirky town of Foggy Basin for work, finds himself entangled with Jackie—a vibrant, unpredictable redhead he met at a wedding. Jackie, who spends his days running a bookstore and blogging, can’t stop thinking about Alfred, the nerdy hipster who stole his attention. What began as a fleeting hookup lingers in both their minds, stirring unresolved feelings. As proximity forces them to confront their chemistry, they must decide whether their connection is a glitch in the system or the start of something real.

I enjoyed this story, which explored vulnerability, identity, and the tension between desire and self-protection. However, the story did become a little silly with all the avoidance and sulking, which unfortunately turned it into a farce. Everything was clear and easy to understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

His Forbidden Obsession

His Forbidden Obsession by Silvia Violet
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nikolai is drawn to Lorenzo, a dangerously alluring member of the powerful Theriot crime family, despite—or perhaps because of—their shared hatred for Nikolai’s abusive father. When his father attempts to sell him, Nikolai escapes and turns to Lorenzo for protection. Their arrangement begins as transactional, with Nikolai offering his body in exchange for safety, but as deeper feelings emerge, the line between desire and destruction blurs. Caught between peril and passion, Nikolai must navigate a treacherous path where love could either save him—or break him completely.

I loved this story with the complexity of mafia family dynamics and politics, and the attraction between the two men. I loved the relationship between the families and the way that there was dependence and deference, but also love could sometimes bypass that with understanding and tolerance. I love the men of the Theriot family, and it was great to experience them again. This could be a great start to a new series by the author. Lots of emotions and feelings were involved, but some of them could be described a bit more as some of them came as a surprise. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Kellan & Emmett by Denver Shaw 4 of 5 stars

Kellan & Emmett

Kellan & Emmett by Denver Shaw
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Emmett and Kellan Miller, two former best friends and first loves who are unexpectedly reunited at their high school reunion after two decades of separation. Emmett has spent twenty years healing from the intense heartbreak he suffered when Kellan kissed him on graduation night and then immediately left town without a word. Despite being settled in his life, the moment he sees Kellan again, all his old feelings resurface. Emmett is determined that if Kellan wants a second chance, he will have to fight hard to earn it. Kellan has spent his adult life running from the truth of that night and trying to build a stable, closeted life. Returning to his small hometown is unsettling, and being near Emmett makes him feel like he finally belongs. He realizes that to have any chance at a real future with Emmett, he must stop hiding and running and start fighting for the man he should never have left behind.

I loved this story which showed that it is never too for love and finding yourself. I loved the little stories and awards which I can imagine are key elements of a school reunion. Everything and everyone were well described and felt very real. Plenty of emotions and feelings as the two men reconnected and reset their relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: This Will Hurt by Cara Dee 4 of 5 stars

This Will Hurt

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the beginning of a story about Jake, a former Marine and aspiring documentary filmmaker, and his best friend, Roe Finlay, who is bisexual. Jake initially thought moving to LA was his life's turning point, but meeting Roe became the true defining moment. Despite his claims of being straight, Jake became deeply attached and emotionally dependent on Roe, who he says was his best friend, roommate, coworker, and "everything." The book ends on the abrupt note of heartbreak: Roe decides to commit to his girlfriend, suggesting that Jake's feelings for Roe were deeper than platonic friendship and that this event is the ultimate "break" that will force him to re-evaluate his life.

I loved this story with the two men who started off as partners on a project but became friends. I also enjoyed the brief appearance of Greer. This was told from Jake's point of view and the next book is from Roe's so I'm looking forward to that. I think that I struggled with just how slow this slow burn story was but that is mostly a me thing. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story.

Marry Me, Maybe?

Marry Me, Maybe? by Sage Abbott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Matty and Hudson Granger, two former lovers whose passionate summer romance ended in heartbreak, only for fate to bring them back together years later. Matty fell deeply in love with Hudson while they worked on his father's ranch, but a month after Matty left for university, Hudson married a woman and started a family. This betrayal left Matty emotionally scarred. Although they have been estranged and filled with mutual resentment, they remain tied to the same land. Four years later, Hudson's world collapses: his wife is gone, and he's left with a three-year-old child. Matty is pulled back into Hudson's life and his orbit of pain. The summary sets up a dramatic second-chance romance, questioning whether Matty can risk trusting Hudson again after the past near-destroyed him, especially now that a child is involved.

I loved this story with the two men who were perfect for each other but kept apart due to expectations or real life events. Now after reconnecting they have a second chance and Hudson's daughter Ivy was at the centre. A very adorable story which will make you smile. All of the characters at Bristlecone Springs are wonderful and I can't wait to find out what happens next. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Feels Like Home

Feels Like Home by Casey Cox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Courtland and Buzz, lifelong best friends who enter into a fake marriage after Courtland inherits an inn, bringing their long-suppressed romantic feelings to a head amidst new family secrets. Courtland has been in love with Buzz for fifteen years but has repeatedly let life and family crises get in the way of confessing his feelings. After returning home, he inherits his grandfather's inn with the condition that he gets married and stays in town for six months. Buzz, who loves the inn, offers to be his fake husband. Now married and living together, Courtland is determined to finally confess, but a shocking new family secret threatens to complicate things further. Buzz has always felt accepted only by Courtland, especially after a history of partners leaving him for being too "needy." Despite enjoying the unexpected "benefits" of their fake marriage, he views it as temporary, believing Courtland will inevitably return to his career in Boston. He fears letting himself hope for a future with Courtland, as the arrangement has a clear "end date."

I enjoyed this story with the two men who were drawn together but over time had lost the easier communication they had when they were children. I initially loved this story but as it dragged on I started to become frustrated with the two men and their relationship with the will he or won't he talk to him. I did love the way that they were described and the detail of the descriptions of the places, people, emotions and feelings which were easy to understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Exposed

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Kace, a man going through a painful experience, and Jamison, his professional cuddle partner, whose private arrangement is abruptly exposed in public. Kace is already dreading attending the wedding of the man he still loves. The situation becomes mortifying when he runs into Jamison, whom he regularly hires for cuddling sessions, and realizes someone is trying to set them up. While Kace is embarrassed by the public exposure, Jamison is intrigued by the shift in their relationship and tries to put Kace at ease. Their new connection quickly becomes a "rollercoaster of surprises," but Jamison's past catches up to him, leading him to fear that Kace might be the only good thing left in his life.

I loved this story with the two men who met thanks to Jamison's unusual occupation. I liked that they cared for each other via the preparation of food as their sexual relationship was not a good enough basis for a long future together. I also liked that Jamison's PTSD was not minimised. There were emotions and feelings in this story which were easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Tex Hex: A Hurt Comfort MM Romance

The Tex Hex: A Hurt Comfort MM Romance by Raquel Riley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a story about Tex and Mandy, two emotionally wounded men who are deeply in love with each other but are stuck in the "friend zone." Tex, who hides his "battered soul" behind a flirtatious, carefree exterior, believes the only man who can heal him is Mandy. Mandy is living with deep physical and emotional scars from a past trauma. He is in love with Tex, but Tex only sees him as a friend. The story sets up a conflict where both men need healing and love, but they are blocking each other: Tex won't let Mandy love him until Mandy heals himself, and Mandy is hurting because Tex won't see him as anything more than a friend.

I loved these two men who were damaged in their own way but able to see past it to love fiercely. So many emotions and feelings in this story which are guaranteed to capture you and cause tears. I loved the superhero comparison which I totally agree with. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a story about Oliver "Ollie" Knight, an openly gay pastor and recovering addict, and Archie White, a former drag queen who now runs an HIV transition home, whose paths cross despite their conflicting views on religion. Ollie is fulfilling but lonely, as men often leave once they discover his profession. Archie has a deep-seated aversion to religion due to his past. After meeting, Archie is immediately drawn to Ollie but is ready to run once he learns Ollie is a pastor. Despite this, both men are resilient, and the story follows their journey to find unconditional love with someone who truly accepts them, regardless of their pasts and complicated vocations.

I enjoyed this story with the two men who circled each other as Ollie tried to wait and prove to Archie that he was not like the pastors in his past. I loved the other characters surrounding them both and the amount of love there. A lot of feelings and emotions in this story which was an MM story with mature content.

Finding Gideon

Finding Gideon by Denver Shaw
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Gideon Raines, a man running from years of grief and guilt over the loss of his twin brother, and Dr. Malcolm Jones, a small-town veterinarian seeking a peaceful life. Gideon arrives in the tiny town of Foggy Basin with no plans to stay, but he immediately notices the handsome new vet, Malcolm. Malcolm, who considered himself straight, is intrigued when Gideon stumbles into his clinic and saves the day. He offers Gideon a job, and their unexpected proximity ignites a slow, undeniable attraction. The story sets up a romance where both men are reluctant to open up—Gideon because he plans to leave, and Malcolm because he's afraid to risk his heart—but the growing intensity between them is too dangerous to ignore.

I loved this story with the two men who slowly became friends and then fell in love. I loved how Malcolm helped Gideon to grieve and understand that he had worth and was deserving of love. This is a story about Dr. Miles McCabe, a crisis counselor who usually helps others, and Rowan Ashcroft, a secretive investigative podcaster, who are forced to team up against a dangerous conspiracy. Rowan, a former operative, built his life on silence and caution, distrusting everyone.  A violent event forces them to cooperate, leading them into a dark world of shadowy research and deadly secrets. Their initial, reluctant partnership quickly deepens into an unexpected attraction. The central conflict is the risk they must take: Miles risks his career, and Rowan risks his emotional safety. Faker by Kiki Clark
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a story about Samuel and his straight best friend, Will, who agree to pretend to be boyfriends for Samuel's ex's wedding. Samuel's only goal was to avoid attending the wedding alone, but Will proposes the idea of acting as a couple to make the ex jealous. As they practice their roles, Samuel begins to worry. He's falling for Will and fears that the charade will lead him to lose both his dignity and his best friend. The story sets up a classic fake-boyfriend scenario complicated by real, developing feelings.

This is a story about Ben Whitaker, a grumpy, control-focused businessman, and Franco Rossi, a chaotic, charming waiter, who find an unexpected romance after Ben moves to a new city for a fresh start. Ben moves to Adelaide to escape the corporate world and buys a neighbourhood restaurant, hoping for a quiet, orderly life. Despite their complete opposite personalities—Ben living by rules, Franco by grand gestures—they share an instant, electric chemistry. Franco's lively presence and flirtatious gestures begin to melt Ben's carefully guarded heart.

I loved this story which explored whether Ben can risk his pride and control to embrace the chaotic love Franco offers, or if their differences will ultimately pull them apart. My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a story about Jeremy, who is determined not to fall for a straight man, and Declan, the attractive but seemingly shy friend of Jeremy's brother. Jeremy hires Declan to do renovations on his house as a favor to his brother. He is immediately struck by Declan's good looks, but is put off by the man's extreme shyness, which he wrongly interprets as homophobia. As the renovations finish, Jeremy is ready to write off Declan and forget their attraction. However, his brother intervenes, suggesting that their story isn't over. The story sets up a situation where Jeremy's assumption about Declan might be wrong, and their relationship is complicated by outside interference.

This was a sweet novella where with initial misunderstandings about sexuality were eventually cleared up and the two men were able to explore a relationship with each other. Declan seemed to be too good a person which made things feel sickly sweet and we were missing much story to prove their compatibility except for sex. Easy to read and understand. Toman is an alien who is surprised to find his fated mate on Earth. He is confused by human customs but is determined to learn what it means to be a "Daddy" and how to fall in love with his "adorably confusing" mate.

This was a sweet romantic story where the two men from different worlds must navigate cultural differences and their fated bond. The arrival of aliens through the portal was fun and the area that they arrived in is very kinky and so it was difficult for them to understand and on return to explain. A good start to this new series. The relationship between Wren and Tomas was sweet and tender. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Shade by Stella Rainbow 4 of 5 stars

Shade

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Diego and Shade, two fated mates who are reunited after years of separation. Diego lost his sight as a child and also lost his best friend, Shade, a "monster" who had saved his life. Years later, a magical pull guides him back to Shade. Shade, who lives in a Sanctuary to avoid the painful effects of light, is surprised when Diego walks back into his life, led by the very shadows that have been protecting him for years.

I enjoyed this novella which explores whether these two can find love and light in their unexpected reunion. The way that they were able to do things together using available shadow was clever and adding some technology was the icing on the cake. The inclusion of the other Sanctuary residents in the story was a nice touch. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Blood of the Damned - Thorn by JP Sayle 3 of 5 stars

Blood of the Damned - Thorn: Fated Vampire Mpreg

Blood of the Damned - Thorn: Fated Vampire Mpreg by JP Sayle
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a story about Ledger Rain, a sommelier, who takes a job at the Vaughan Winery hoping to escape his past. He finds an unexpected future when he discovers his boss, Thorn Vaughan, is not only a vampire, but his fated mate. Their life together is a whirlwind of new discoveries. They get married and start a family, but their journey is complicated because Ledger is male, and male dhampirs (vampire mates) were thought to be nonexistent. The central conflict arises when Ledger gets pregnant, forcing them to figure out how baby vampires are born—a process that has been lost to history.

I loved this story with the two men who met and quickly realised that they were fated mates. The story was a good introduction to the brothers who ran Vaughan Winery and their personalities. I did find the focus on Ledger's pregnancy hormones and behaviour was too much. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Collision of Winters by Cara Dee 4 of 5 stars

Collision of Winters

Collision of Winters by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kayden has always been drawn to Wade, a man he sees as perfect: older, a doctor, a former soldier, and a dominant. Despite his attraction, Kayden is convinced he is broken and cannot be saved. He believes Wade has kidnapped him and taken him to a remote cabin in Alaska to try and fix him.

I loved this story with the conflict where Kayden struggles to keep his feelings for Wade in check and resist the man he's convinced he can't have. I loved how bratty Kayden was and just how much of a Daddy Wade was even before the change in their relationship. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story as they worked through their relationship and events from the past. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Code Word

Code Word by N.R. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a story about Blake Acosta and Luke Dougherty, two former boy band members whose friendship and hidden feelings are tested after their group disbands. Two years after the boy band Atrous breaks up, Blake is coasting through life until his best friend Luke has a meltdown. Blake takes Luke on a trip to help him, but Luke abruptly ends their friendship, leaving Blake to hit rock bottom and confront some painful truths on his own. Meanwhile, Luke distances himself because he's in love with Blake and believes he can't have him. The story follows their journey to unpack their past—including their time in Atrous—to see if they can finally move forward and build a new future together.

I loved this story with all of the big emotions and feelings as both men assessed their relationship and feelings for each other. It involved Blake having to face the past and present and understand his true feelings for Luke. I felt as overwhelmed by the feelings as them both and so expect some tears. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Nix by Athena Steller 4 of 5 stars

Nix

Nix by Athena Steller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Nix, an underestimated and fun-loving hockey player, and Evan, his new teammate and a dragon shifter who has a hard time trusting others. Nix, who is known as the "crazy" triplet, has always hidden his true self to make others happy. He's a new draft pick in the Paranormal American Hockey League and immediately latches onto Evan, believing they are destined to be best friends. Evan, a secretive dragon shifter, is wary of the new rookie, but Nix's bubbly personality slowly wins him over. As they grow closer, Evan begins to see glimpses of the real Nix and feels a protective, "Daddy" instinct kick in.

I loved this story with the energetic and excitable Nix and controlled and quiet Evan. I loved that they fit perfectly together as Daddy and his boy. I loved the way that Nix's fruit bat had a thing for pumpkins. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: Blood & Lace by Brea Alepoú by Skyler Snow 2 of 5 stars

Blood & Lace

Blood & Lace by Brea Alepoú by Skyler Snow
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This is a story about Onyx, a handsome and charming hitman known as "The Black Widow," who kills people by making their deaths look like accidents. His next target is Lucero Marino, who he is more than happy to eliminate. However, things don't go as planned because Lucero is obsessed with Onyx and will do anything to have him.

This was a dark and twisted romance where Lucero turns the tables on the hitman, forcing him into marriage. I tried really hard to like the two men in this story but I grew to hate them both for very different reasons. I found Onyx too overboard and found his treatment of Lucero to just be cruel and nasty so I struggled to understand and sympathise with him. I just became annoyed with Lucero and his over the top need to please and be a doormat for Onyx. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Vow of the Vigilante by Leighton Greene 4 of 5 stars

Vow of the Vigilante: Alternate Cover

Vow of the Vigilante by Leighton Greene
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Baxter Flynn, a former FBI agent, and Angelo Messina, an ex-mafia underboss, who are on the run together. They have strengthened their bond while trying to track down a fugitive who can clear their names. Despite their growing connection, Bax is struggling with his new life outside the law. They have a lead on their target, but others are also chasing him. The central conflict is not just about catching their target, but about what happens afterward. Bax wonders if he and Angelo can ever have a peaceful life together that isn't defined by violence and their pasts.

I loved this story with the two men who were on the joint quest to clear their names after being incorrectly identified as the people behind a series of murders in New York. I loved their relationship and the way that they worked together that showed the depths of their feelings for each other. The plot and story all had complexity and multiple layers. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Percolation Play by Katherine McIntyre 4 of 5 stars

Percolation Play

Percolation Play by Katherine McIntyre
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kai, new to his bisexuality and the area, is drawn to both the dominant Ezra and the charismatic submissive Sloan. He's recently left his marriage and hometown to start over but is afraid of revealing his "broken" state to them. Sloan is using one-night stands to avoid his own painful past with an ex. He's convinced he can't have a lasting relationship. Ezra has lived his life in "survival mode" due to a difficult past. Meeting Kai and Sloan helps him feel like he can finally breathe. The three men are pulled into a magnetic and passionate relationship, but their unaddressed pasts threaten to sabotage their chance at a future together.

I loved this story with the three men who were drawn together while they all tried to outrun their past traumas. The story also gave some understanding about living with a chronic condition. Full of emotions and feelings, this story also had so much passion and love too. The major source of the "survival mode" also provided danger and drama to the story. This was an MMM story with mature content and details of a BDSM-like lifestyle.

Devoted to the Don

Devoted to the Don by Leighton Greene
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a story about Finch and his husband, Luca, a mafia Don. Finch has been trying to stay out of the family's criminal world, but that world has caught up to them. Luca's life is now in danger, forcing Finch to step up and fight to protect him. Their dangerous journey to defeat their enemies will take them from New York to Italy. Along the way, they will uncover secrets and question who they can trust.

I loved this story which was a tale of love, loyalty, and action as Finch proves he will do whatever it takes to save the man he loves. There were many plots (some related and some only associated) as well as major levels of danger and drama. I loved that throughout it all Luca and Finch found ways to work together and strengthen their relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Worth the Fight by Denver Shaw 4 of 5 stars

Worth the Fight

Worth the Fight by Denver Shaw
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about a forbidden romance between Caden, an underground MMA fighter, and Noah, a social worker. Caden, a "bad boy" who fights to protect his brother from loan sharks, is drawn to Noah, a man who represents everything he's not. He's willing to risk his life for his brother, but worries his illegal lifestyle will cost him the man he's falling for. Noah, who needs to "keep his nose clean" for his job, is instantly attracted to Caden despite seeing him as a "red flag." He's convinced that beneath Caden's dangerous exterior is a good man worth the risk.

I loved this story with the conflict between their two worlds and the rules they are willing to break for love. I loved the way that love was able to give them the confidence in each other and the way that played into the dramatic ending. The little details were clearly described and easy to understand. Easy to read and feel. This was an MM story with mature content.

Kissed by a Killer: Alternate Cover

Kissed by a Killer by Leighton Greene
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

At a lavish mafia wedding in the Hamptons, mob lawyer Carlo Bianchi narrowly escapes assassination—saved by none other than Nick Fontana, a deadly Morelli Family enforcer and Carlo’s secret lover. Nick kills to protect him, and in the volatile world of crime families, they choose silence over scandal. But one cover-up leads to another, and soon a blackmailer threatens to unravel everything. As Carlo and Nick navigate a treacherous maze of lies, murder, and betrayal, their forbidden relationship becomes both their greatest weakness and fiercest strength. With danger closing in, Nick must decide how far he’ll go to protect the only man who’s ever pierced his icy exterior. In a world where love could be fatal, their passion might just be the kiss of death.

I loved this story with the two men surrounded by tension and danger. The power dynamics and the romance in the story heightened the stakes making it a gripping read. I loved their relationship and the way it gave them the confidence and strength to take on people when it counted. I could not help but find myself behind and rooting for them both. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Dr. Hottie's Alpha by Allie W. Scott 3 of 5 stars

Dr. Hottie's Alpha

Dr. Hottie's Alpha by Allie W. Scott
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a story about Chance Reeves, an obstetrician, and Oakley Woods, a young alpha, who are fated to be together despite their differences. Chance is an older omega who is successful in his career but yearns for a mate. He's beginning to feel like he's running out of time to find an alpha. Oakley is an eager and well-prepared young alpha who has been researching how to care for his future omega for years. When he finds out his fated mate is the accomplished Dr. Reeves, he questions if he can be the kind of support an older man with a thriving career needs.

I loved this story and how their dynamic explored themes of vulnerability, purpose, and chosen connection. There was a lovely emotional symmetry in this romance where the characters must overcome their insecurities to be what they were meant to be for each other.  It was an example of how fate pays no attention to real world differences like age or size. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Deck the Fire Halls

Deck the Fire Halls by N.R. Walker
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Dr. Robinson O'Reilly, a burned-out doctor, and Soren De Silva, a firefighter captain, who find an unexpected connection in a small town. Robinson, disillusioned with his career, takes a part-time job in Hartbridge, Montana, hoping a change of scenery will help. Soren loves his life in Hartbridge but feels lonely due to the lack of available gay men. When he meets the new doctor, he's intrigued despite Robinson not being his usual type. Their friendship quickly deepens, and Soren wonders if the town's "Christmas magic" is bringing them together.

I loved this story with its slow burn charm in the delightful setting of Heartbridge. I loved that they tried really hard to go slow to make sure that their relationship wasn't purely physical. There were a lot of emotions and feelings as well as passion in this story which was sadly the last in the series. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Seduced by a Sinner

Seduced by a Sinner by Leighton Greene
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about Teo, a man who works as a bodyguard for a mafia boss and is captivated by Aidan O’Leary, a man who is preparing to become a priest. Teo is assigned to protect Aidan after his life is threatened. He is torn between his duty to keep Aidan safe and his forbidden desire for a man he sees as pure and untouchable. Teo believes he is sinful and undeserving of someone like Aidan, yet he can't stop thinking about him. Their close proximity makes it difficult for Teo to stay focused, and he struggles with the idea of protecting Aidan only to "give him away to God."

I loved this story with the two men who were drawn together but had an impending deadline of Aidan's ordination. This dramatic story contains the conflict between love, duty, and faith as Teo must fight to keep Aidan safe from their enemies while battling his own growing feelings. This was full of mystery as to who was threatening Aidan and why as well as all of the emotions and feelings between the two men. Easy to read, feel and understand. Jerico's Little Girl

Jerico's Little Girl by Pepper North
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a story about Aspen Randolph, a woman who dreams of a dominant "daddy" figure, and Jerico Adams, a special forces officer who fulfills that fantasy. After Jerico rescues Aspen from a dangerous situation, he decides to take on the role of her caregiver and protector. The story explores their BDSM-like relationship, which involves discipline and caretaking, with Jerico taking full control of Aspen's life, from spanking and bathing her to dressing her and taking her to the doctor.

I enjoyed this story with the dangers that Aspen was in and how Jerico's team all helped in times of crisis. This was similar to an instalove story with a Daddy twist so it was not as long and involved as it could have been. This was an MF story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLG dynamic.

This is a story about Braithe Branson, an Englishman who moves to Hartbridge, Montana, for a short-term teaching job, and Colson Price, a local deputy. Their first meeting is a traffic stop, and they quickly develop an attraction. However, Braithe becomes enchanted with the town and his growing feelings for Colson. As Braithe's departure date nears, their no-strings arrangement becomes complicated, forcing them to confront the true nature of their feelings and the risks involved.

I loved this story with the two men who had a lovely tension between secrecy and belonging. I loved the way that Braithe was so supportive of Colson and his right to choose if and when he came out as gay. This was full of passion, emotions and feelings and you will cry when the end of Braithe's contract nears. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Jordan, working for a company called Pegasus, has also realized he needs to act before he loses Owen. Just as they are both about to make their move, Owen receives some devastating news that throws his life into chaos.

This is a story about Riku, a godling, and Lucifer, who are fated to be mates, a pairing that is both surprising and potentially world-ending. Lucifer is pleased with the match, finding Riku to be exactly his type. However, he is heartbroken that Riku doesn't want him. He knows that their union is against the rules of his estranged sister and could lead to global destruction.

I loved this story with its conflict between the desires of two fated mates and the dangerous consequences of their union. There were plenty of tender moments but also heartbreak, danger and drama. It was very cruel to set them up as fated mates even if they did end up together in the end. I loved the way that so many others were also involved.Easy to read, feel and understand. This is a story about Gunter Zuniga, a recently divorced and retired man, and Clay Henderson, a local sawmill owner, who find an unexpected romance during the Christmas season. Clay meets Gunter while delivering firewood and becomes intrigued by the newcomer. Although neither man is looking for a relationship, the holiday season and the "magic" of their small town bring them together.

This was a sweet story that will fill you up with the Christmas spirit. For both men it was finding love and healing when least expected. I loved Clay's father who used some great analogies. The involvement of the other characters from previous books in the series added more fun to the story. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
