Review: Married to the Mobster by Leighton Greene 4 of 5 stars

Married to the Mobster

Married to the Mobster by Leighton Greene
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Five years ago Fitch saved a mobster's life, but years later he finds his world turned upside down. The mobster, Luca D'Amato, is now a ruthless killer who is assigned to kill Finch. Unable to go through with the hit, Luca persuades his boss to take Finch hostage instead. To protect Finch, Luca agrees to a marriage of convenience, but his feelings for Finch grow unexpectedly deep.

I loved this story with the conflict where Finch, who is drawn to Luca, tries to break through his emotional walls, while Luca struggles to protect him from the dangers of the mafia world, knowing that love could be a fatal weakness for them both. There were a lot of power dynamics or emotional tension throughout the story which was  rich with moral conflict and slow-burn intensity. I was captivated all through the story. This was an MM story with mature content.
