This is a story about Teo, a man who works as a bodyguard for a mafia boss and is captivated by Aidan O’Leary, a man who is preparing to become a priest. Teo is assigned to protect Aidan after his life is threatened. He is torn between his duty to keep Aidan safe and his forbidden desire for a man he sees as pure and untouchable. Teo believes he is sinful and undeserving of someone like Aidan, yet he can't stop thinking about him. Their close proximity makes it difficult for Teo to stay focused, and he struggles with the idea of protecting Aidan only to "give him away to God."
I loved this story with the two men who were drawn together but had an impending deadline of Aidan's ordination. This dramatic story contains the conflict between love, duty, and faith as Teo must fight to keep Aidan safe from their enemies while battling his own growing feelings. This was full of mystery as to who was threatening Aidan and why as well as all of the emotions and feelings between the two men. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
