This is a story about Oliver "Ollie" Knight, an openly gay pastor and recovering addict, and Archie White, a former drag queen who now runs an HIV transition home, whose paths cross despite their conflicting views on religion. Ollie is fulfilling but lonely, as men often leave once they discover his profession. Archie has a deep-seated aversion to religion due to his past. After meeting, Archie is immediately drawn to Ollie but is ready to run once he learns Ollie is a pastor. Despite this, both men are resilient, and the story follows their journey to find unconditional love with someone who truly accepts them, regardless of their pasts and complicated vocations.
I enjoyed this story with the two men who circled each other as Ollie tried to wait and prove to Archie that he was not like the pastors in his past. I loved the other characters surrounding them both and the amount of love there. A lot of feelings and emotions in this story which was an MM story with mature content.
