This is a story about Chance Reeves, an obstetrician, and Oakley Woods, a young alpha, who are fated to be together despite their differences. Chance is an older omega who is successful in his career but yearns for a mate. He's beginning to feel like he's running out of time to find an alpha. Oakley is an eager and well-prepared young alpha who has been researching how to care for his future omega for years. When he finds out his fated mate is the accomplished Dr. Reeves, he questions if he can be the kind of support an older man with a thriving career needs.
I loved this story and how their dynamic explored themes of vulnerability, purpose, and chosen connection. There was a lovely emotional symmetry in this romance where the characters must overcome their insecurities to be what they were meant to be for each other. It was an example of how fate pays no attention to real world differences like age or size. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.
