Review: Operation Sunshine by K.C. Wells 5 of 5 stars

Operation Sunshine

Operation Sunshine by K.C. Wells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a story about Ben Whitaker, a grumpy, control-focused businessman, and Franco Rossi, a chaotic, charming waiter, who find an unexpected romance after Ben moves to a new city for a fresh start. Ben moves to Adelaide to escape the corporate world and buys a neighbourhood restaurant, hoping for a quiet, orderly life. Instead, he gets Franco, a waiter who embodies pure chaos and believes in perfect love stories. Despite their complete opposite personalities—Ben living by rules, Franco by grand gestures—they share an instant, electric chemistry. Franco's lively presence and flirtatious gestures begin to melt Ben's carefully guarded heart.

I loved this story which explored whether Ben can risk his pride and control to embrace the chaotic love Franco offers, or if their differences will ultimately pull them apart. Franco was such fun and an outrageous flirt but there was a price to pay for that when he fell for Ben.  A lot of feelings and emotions that were mostly between the two men but did pull in the rest of the restaurant staff. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
