My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a story about Braithe Branson, an Englishman who moves to Hartbridge, Montana, for a short-term teaching job, and Colson Price, a local deputy. Their first meeting is a traffic stop, and they quickly develop an attraction. Colson, who was disowned by his family for being gay, is closeted and only offers Braithe a "no-strings" arrangement to protect himself. However, Braithe becomes enchanted with the town and his growing feelings for Colson. As Braithe's departure date nears, their no-strings arrangement becomes complicated, forcing them to confront the true nature of their feelings and the risks involved.
I loved this story with the two men who had a lovely tension between secrecy and belonging. I loved the way that Braithe was so supportive of Colson and his right to choose if and when he came out as gay. This was full of passion, emotions and feelings and you will cry when the end of Braithe's contract nears. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
