This is a story about Onyx, a handsome and charming hitman known as "The Black Widow," who kills people by making their deaths look like accidents. His next target is Lucero Marino, who he is more than happy to eliminate. However, things don't go as planned because Lucero is obsessed with Onyx and will do anything to have him.
This was a dark and twisted romance where Lucero turns the tables on the hitman, forcing him into marriage. I tried really hard to like the two men in this story but I grew to hate them both for very different reasons. I found Onyx too overboard and found his treatment of Lucero to just be cruel and nasty so I struggled to understand and sympathise with him. I just became annoyed with Lucero and his over the top need to please and be a doormat for Onyx. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
