This is a story about Michael Hardin, a man returning to his hometown of Ellery to confront a painful past. Michael is a survivor of a hate crime who is now haunted by nightmares and has blocked memories of the event. His return is complicated by the persistent presence of his agent, Alex Casey. Alex loves Michael but previously sabotaged their relationship by being overly protective. The story explores whether Michael can recover his memories and, in the process, find a second chance at love with Alex.
I loved this story which was full of passion, emotions, feelings and tenderness. I was pleased that we finally found out about the hate crime earlier in this series. The levels of passion in this story was off the chart. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
