Review: September's Tide by K.C. Wells 4 of 5 stars

September's Tide (Island Tales Book 2)

September's Tide by K.C. Wells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story about David Hannon, a writer recovering from heartbreak, and Taylor Monroe, a carefree local, who start an intense but temporary summer fling on a remote island. Sent to the coast of England to cure his writer's block, David meets Taylor, the owner of a water sports business. Their chemistry is instant and electric, leading to a summer of "sinfully satisfying" encounters intended to be simple, with "no strings." However, as the summer ends, Taylor realizes his casual feelings have deepened; he craves David's heart, not just his touch. When an unexpected event forces Taylor to confront his true desires, the story hinges on whether he will be brave enough to fight for the man who has "rewritten all his rules," or if he will let David leave as the seasons change.

I loved this story about the two men who were drawn together and broke all of their rules and developed deep feelings for each other. They still had the end of David's stay there looming over them and so I was relieved when they finally admitted their feelings for each other and worked out how to stay together. Lots of emotions and feelings that were easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
