Justice meets vengeance in a collision of hearts and firepower. Dale MacIntyre, a former Navy SEAL turned Sanctuary operative, is chasing a lead that could dismantle the Bullen crime empire. But when a key witness is murdered, his mission spirals—and lands him face-to-face with Joseph Kinnon, an active-duty SEAL driven by grief and fury after his stepsister’s death. Their goals clash, their methods diverge, and their chemistry is combustible. Forced into an uneasy alliance, Dale and Joseph navigate a minefield of bullets, betrayal, and buried emotion. What begins as rivalry morphs into reluctant trust, then into something far more dangerous: love. In a world where justice is personal and revenge runs hot, their bond becomes both weapon and weakness. The question isn’t just whether they’ll survive—but whether they’ll let each other in before it’s too late.
I loved this story where their military identities initially clashed—Dale’s calculated restraint versus Joseph’s explosive drive—but that tension became the crucible for emotional growth. I also found that the story wasn't just about bullets and blood—it was about what happens when two men trained to survive finally learn how to live together. Plenty of drama and danger which generated passion, emotions and feelings. I did think that the story ended abruptly which was an anticlimax. This was an MM story with mature content.
