Review: The Art of Living by Abrianna Denae 4 of 5 stars

The Art of Living

The Art of Living by Abrianna Denae
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a summary of a story about Robert Harper and Niall Ross, two men who have spent their adult lives as caregivers and now struggle to accept love and vulnerability for themselves. Robert has defined himself for seventeen years by his role as a protector and caregiver for his son and is terrified his life is too complicated for a relationship. Niall is finally ready to build a life for himself after years of caring for his younger brother. They share an instant connection, and with Niall's patience and Robert's family's help, they begin a tentative romance. However, when Robert's worst fears come true, he falters. Niall steps up to be Robert's safe haven, but then Niall's own life starts to unravel, forcing him to rely on Robert.

I enjoyed this short story where they explored whether these two fiercely independent men could overcome their fears and embrace vulnerability to let love win. It was also great to read more about Garrett’s and Presley. The troubles that Robert and Niall faced made them more real and relatable. Everything was easy to understand and feel. This was an MM story.
