This is a heartwarming continuation of Scott and Davis's story in Kirkby. Two years later, their love has deepened, their businesses are thriving, and their child, Libby, is happy. However, they still face the everyday challenges of parenthood. Seeking a break, a weekend getaway reveals a new, relaxed side of Scott in public, which unexpectedly unsettles Davis. Davis worries that their life in Kirkby is limiting Scott and almost jeopardizes their relationship. But Scott knows what he wants and needs Davis to fight for their family and future, and he has a plan to make it happen.
This was a sweet novella which gave us the opportunity to catchup with Scott and Davis. It was great to see them both happy and fulfilled even if Scott had to take some action to reassure Davis. Libby was still a sweetheart. Easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
