This story revolves around two men whose desires lead them down a treacherous path. Portland, consumed by obsession and resentment after failing to claim the man he long pursued, turns his attention toward Tarek—a charming poker dealer seeking financial security through a wealthy benefactor. Tarek has been interested in Portland for some time, and now that he finally has Portland's attention, he's unwilling to let go—no matter the cost. But Portland carries dangerous secrets, and Tarek’s persistence may drag him into a world far darker than he anticipated. It’s a tense, high-stakes game where desire, obsession, and danger collide.
This was a dark story with at the centre of it a love story. Portland was bitter about a past lost love and Tarek just wanted financial security and love. There were plenty of emotions and feelings in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
