My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Cooper Jackson, a former Army Ranger turned bartender, is determined to build a quiet life after returning home—until Gage Holloway walks into his bar. The rugged loner, haunted by his past and wary of connection, tries to keep his distance, but Cooper refuses to back down. Their undeniable attraction challenges Gage’s self-imposed isolation, and despite his resistance, Cooper is set on breaking through his walls. As their bond deepens, both men must confront their wounds and decide if they’re ready to take a chance on love.
I loved this story with the two men who were damaged in their own way but managed to find comfort and a future with each other. Cooper was such a positive man who was such a force for positivity Gage really didn't stand a chance.Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
