In a dangerous, nightmare-like world called Terrafeara, Jack and his companions fight to survive against monsters, mercenaries, and corrupt rulers. Jack is initially overwhelmed but finds himself forming a complicated attraction to Solan, a fierce warrior who promises protection but is possessive. With Jack's nephew Jamie to keep safe and enemies closing in, Jack must learn to trust Solan, the rebels, and their growing connection, believing that love might be their strongest weapon in a world trying to destroy them.
I enjoyed this story, but it did lack some more detailed analysis of emotions and feelings. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
