Tovey and his brothers, captive omega princes, live under their cruel father’s rule, forced into unwanted arrangements to secure power. Desperate for freedom, they discover a secret passage leading to a dazzling world beyond their prison. At a grand springtime ball, Tovey catches the eye of Rufus, a jeweled dragon alpha prince. Rufus is instantly drawn to him, determined to claim him as his own. But Tovey’s escape comes with lingering dangers, and Rufus must face the forces that threaten his omega prince if they are to have any chance at a future together.
This was an enjoyable story but struggled to make much sense with Rufus and his behaviour. I did have empathy for the omega brothers and their plight but did find their defiance of their father odd as they had so recently been frightened of him. This was an MM story with mature content.
