Creek struggles to adjust to civilian life after losing his leg, finding comfort in his veteran housemates while grappling with deeper wounds. The last thing he needs is an identity crisis—until Heath, an annoyingly optimistic surfer in his physical therapy sessions, starts making him rethink everything. Despite his frustration, Heath challenges Creek in ways he never expected, helping him rediscover courage and face truths he’s avoided for too long.
I loved this story with Creek struggling with his disability and how that affected his relationship with Heath. Their relationship was explosive and full of passion as they got used to the new normal. The men Creek lived with were great too. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
