This story revolves around Marnus, whose emotions are in turmoil after meeting Pierce Owen, a charismatic and puzzling individual. Marnus feels an undeniable chemistry with Pierce, yet struggles to decipher his hot-and-cold behaviour. Though Marnus identifies as mostly straight, he's drawn into a complex dynamic when he pretends to be Pierce's boyfriend to deal with Pierce's ex. As the lines between pretense and reality blur, Marnus questions whether their fake relationship could evolve into something genuine.
This was a sweet novella as the two men who had a unique relationship which transformed into something more when they were honest with each other about their feelings. Lots of emotions and feelings as they sorted out their own relationship and those around Pierce's ex. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
