Pippin & Nacho

Pippin & Nacho by Courtney W. Dixon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Pippin (Sam) hides his pain behind a facade, struggling with the scars of conversion therapy and foster care. His passions, skateboarding and bartending, bring some joy, but it’s Nate, his former foster brother and best friend, who truly keeps him grounded. Secretly in love with Nate, Sam fears that revealing his feelings could jeopardize their bond. Nate, having endured a turbulent foster care experience, became Sam’s protector after rescuing him from an abusive situation. Deeply devoted to Sam, Nate secretly loves him but prioritizes Sam’s well-being over his own emotions. Both wrestle with their feelings, afraid that pursuing love might risk the connection they rely on for survival.

I loved this very emotional story with the two men who were damaged in different ways from their childhoods and found a way to be together and work on their mental health. I loved how the others did their best to try and help them. Easy to read, feel and understand this was full of big emotions and feelings. This was an MM story with mature content.
