Conor’s story begins with a misdirected, impulsive text that sparks a steamy exchange with a stranger. What he doesn’t realize is that the recipient is Wells Grange, his infuriatingly controlling business rival. By day, Conor clashes with Wells in high-stakes meetings; by night, he’s drawn to the commanding allure of his anonymous texter. As feelings deepen, Conor struggles to keep his emotions in check. Meanwhile, Wells quickly pieces together that Conor is his mysterious texter. Instead of revealing the truth, he indulges in the flirtation, convinced it’s harmless. But as their professional and personal lives intertwine, Wells finds himself breaking his own rule of keeping emotions out of the equation.
This was an enjoyable tale of mistaken identities, undeniable chemistry, and the blurred lines between rivalry and romance. It did become a bit silly at times but it was still a fun read. The book title did fit the story well. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
