This story follows Ainsley, who takes a wrong turn and ends up at a secluded cabin belonging to Oran, a rugged and grumpy former army ranger. Oran isn't exactly welcoming—his price for shelter is steep—but Ainsley is more than willing to pay, and soon finds himself wanting to stay longer than planned. What starts as a simple exchange turns into something more, leaving Ainsley questioning whether he ever truly wants to leave this unexpected retreat.
This short story is a mix of tension, attraction, and the allure of isolation, wrapped in an intriguing dynamic between two very different personalities. There wasn't much about feelings as much of this story was about their physical relationship. However, there was a HEA. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
