Review: Darkness Calling by Laurie Olerich 5 of 5 stars

Darkness Calling Darkness Calling by Laurie Olerich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.

This book started slow and I have to admit to getting more than a little irritated with the movements between present day and what happened in the past. As I got deeper into the story it started to make more sense and I understood the relevance of the parts of this story set in the past.

This is the story of Sean's and Aisling's own pasts and what events have shaped them to be what they are today. If Aisling annoyed you with her behaviour in book four, this will explain why she behaved that way. As always there is a dramatic conclusion that involves a damaged building (I say no more).

I enjoyed this book a great deal after I got my head around the timeline changes. The writing was clear and feelings, motivations and thoughts are easy to understand and feel. There are some fairly racy sex scenes in here so be aware. If it was possible I would give it a 4.5.
