Mob Boss

Mob Boss by Silvia Violet
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tom let Vinnie seduce him. He was an easy mark. He would have granted him anything, but he didn't know who he was and didn't know he was setting a man up for death. But even now, he still wants him, and he has no intention of letting Tom go.

This was a sweet short story that had plenty of analysis of thoughts and feelings as Tom struggled with what he had witnessed and the decisions he needed to make about his future. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

** Please note this MM Mafia Romance is a companion to the Marchesi Family series.

Solan by Becca Seymour
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

In a dangerous, nightmare-like world called Terrafeara, Jack and his companions fight to survive against monsters, mercenaries, and corrupt rulers. Jack is initially overwhelmed but finds himself forming a complicated attraction to Solan, a fierce warrior who promises protection but is possessive. With Jack's nephew Jamie to keep safe and enemies closing in, Jack must learn to trust Solan, the rebels, and their growing connection, believing that love might be their strongest weapon in a world trying to destroy them.

I enjoyed this story, but it did lack some more detailed analysis of emotions and feelings. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Becoming Us

Becoming Us by Becca Seymour
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a heartwarming continuation of Scott and Davis's story in Kirkby. Two years later, their love has deepened, their businesses are thriving, and their child, Libby, is happy. However, they still face the everyday challenges of parenthood. Seeking a break, a weekend getaway reveals a new, relaxed side of Scott in public, which unexpectedly unsettles Davis. Davis worries that their life in Kirkby is limiting Scott and almost jeopardizes their relationship. But Scott knows what he wants and needs Davis to fight for their family and future, and he has a plan to make it happen.

This was a sweet novella which gave us the opportunity to catchup with Scott and Davis. It was great to see them both happy and fulfilled even if Scott had to take some action to reassure Davis. Libby was still a sweetheart. Easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

When Davis learns the man is a recently outed veterinarian Scott, he senses he's hurting. The story focuses on their budding friendship and whether they'll take a chance on love.

I loved this story with the friendship between them both which then became something much more. Davis's daughter was a sweetheart and Scott was so good with her. This is a story about the complicated relationships between Quinn, Peyton, Will, and Sebastian.  Detective Quinn regrets his past relationship with defense lawyer Sebastian and missing a chance with Peyton, who is now in a comfortable hookup arrangement with fellow police officer Will.   Their lives become intertwined when Sebastian finds a dead body in Peyton and Will's kitchen, leading them to call Quinn for help. As Quinn investigates, unresolved tension between him and Peyton resurfaces, while Peyton and Will find themselves drawn to both Quinn and Sebastian. Sebastian, facing danger and unexpected intimacy with Peyton and Will, starts to question his own choices. The summary hints at a potential future involving all four of them.

I enjoyed this story with the mystery of the dead body and various shootings. Add into that the four men and the dynamics between them as well as around them and it was pretty addictive. All the mature content scenes were pretty hot too. Easy to feel and understand. This was an MMMM story with mature content.

Review: My Young Rebel Daddy by Zack Wish 2 of 5 stars

My Young Rebel Daddy

My Young Rebel Daddy by Zack Wish
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Nick, a 44-year-old who enjoys a Little lifestyle, wants a "Young Rebel Daddy" to share his dream home. He meets Jason, a 28-year-old construction worker, and feels an instant connection. 1  Nick hires Jason to build his beachside mansion, hoping for a D/s relationship involving age play and discipline. However, Jason isn't used to taking orders and believes Nick needs firm handling to curb his sass, leading to a potentially chaotic and passionate dynamic that might delay the house's completion.

I thought that this story lacked any real depth of the story and the two men. There was a lot of focus on the punishment side of their relationship which seemed to be done in public. I found it to be hard to read because the story lost my attention. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

During a tense Mafia meeting at Redwood Manor, the meticulous butler Darian is accused of murder.  To protect him, the head of security, the charming Raffi, fabricates an alibi, claiming they were together. The Golden Handcuffs

The Golden Handcuffs by K.C. Carmine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finley, grieving the loss of his son, moves from his quiet island life to London and discovers the BDSM world when he starts working at The Golden Handcuffs. He becomes captivated by a Dom named Kage, who awakens desires Finley never knew he had. Kage, who walks with a limp and has a "shattered heart" from a past accident, believes he'll never find love again and dedicates himself to his work as a Dom. However, his encounter with Finley, a man who seems to understand his trauma, begins to break down Kage's emotional walls. Both men are described as "broken," and the story questions whether they can form a "wholesome relationship." And if they are able to help each other heal and create a bond that transcends their grief and embraces their alternative lifestyle, though neither feels ready to explore this possibility yet.

I loved this story with the two broken men with the heavy grief that they were both carrying. Their attraction and feelings were full of passion and used their BSDM dynamic to become closer. Easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like D/s dynamic.

Hawk by Jacki James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mika, who has a history of running from trouble and an abusive ex, has built a safe life in Vesper, Texas. However, when his past catches up to him, he reluctantly turns to Duncan "Hawk" Hawkins for protection. Hawk, an ex-military bodyguard, is physically Mika's type but also embodies the kind of dominant man Mika has sworn to avoid due to past trauma.   Despite his reservations, Mika finds Hawk to be different—protective, patient, and dedicated to keeping him safe. As Hawk teaches Mika self-defense, a strong attraction develops between them. Mika is faced with a critical choice: continue running from his dangerous ex or risk his heart by trusting Hawk and standing to fight for his safety and a potential future together.

The Sinner's Penance

The Sinner's Penance by K.C. Carmine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story blends crime, deception, and forbidden desire in a tense, high-stakes narrative. Mateusz, once a bodyguard for London’s Polish Mafia, is forced into hiding after eliminating the son of a rival crime boss. His refuge—a remote English island—requires reinvention, and posing as a priest seems like the perfect disguise. That is, until Peyton, a lonely newcomer, steps into the confessional seeking something far more than absolution. Peyton’s fixation on the enigmatic priest threatens to unravel Mateusz’s carefully crafted cover, forcing him to navigate the dangerous collision between secrecy and temptation.

I loved this story which had a lot of layered tension and emotional conflict. I loved that Matt's Uncle was not as strict as I expected him to be and that Matt had tried to be far better than his family and position suggests that he would be. Emotions and feelings were in this story as well as hot passion between Matt and Peyton. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This story centres on a complex, emotionally charged relationship between three men navigating love, desire, and healing. As the three of them grow closer, Ryder discovers a world of passion and acceptance, while Knox and Finn find themselves drawn to Ryder’s vulnerability. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The provided text describes Ernesto ("E"), an autistic video game programmer with a dominant personality, who unexpectedly reconnects with Brian, his former university crush, on a blind date set up by a new dating app. The app's unique rules involve blindfolds and a limited number of questions before deciding to reveal themselves. Despite the potential for emotional turmoil and the fact that they have both changed, E is willing to pursue a physical relationship with Brian. Review: Timber by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Timber

Timber by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Timber finally realises his dream of opening an animal sanctuary, a peaceful refuge hidden from the chaos of society. As a natural loner, he finds joy in rescuing animals, but he never anticipated the deep friendships that would emerge—or the overwhelming number of creatures seeking shelter. Tiffany, a dedicated veterinarian, is thrilled by the sanctuary’s opening and sees a chance to collaborate, though Timber’s reluctance makes it a challenge. Despite his preference for animals over people, a growing bond between them begins to shift his perspective. However, not everyone welcomes his mission, and hostility threatens the sanctuary’s success. Together, Timber and Tiffany must navigate opposition while discovering that their shared passion may lead to something even greater—love.

I loved this new series and the first book, which concentrated on the themes of transformation, emotional growth, and overcoming adversity. I loved the way that a tough ex-soldier could become mush over a pet, even though much of this story concentrated on the way that some people appear to be just evil. Easy to read, feel and understand. This has some heartwarming moments that will make you smile.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

His Cowboy Heart by Sloane Kennedy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jules, a stylish New Yorker, finds himself out of place in the small town of Eden, Wyoming—especially when his fashion choices make him the target of local thugs. Rescued by a rugged cowboy, Flynn, Jules quickly realizes his saviour assumes he's a damsel in distress. That misconception lasts only until they share a kiss. Flynn, a drifter working on a nearby ranch, is accustomed to solitude. Saving a stranger from a beating should have been inconsequential, but Jules is anything but. Despite initial confusion over his attraction to Jules, Flynn can't deny the pull between them. Their connection deepens when Flynn discovers Jules at Black Hills Ranch. Though they are opposites in every way, their fiery arguments are just as electrifying as their stolen moments together. But the risks are high—Jules doesn’t belong in Eden, and Flynn knows he shouldn’t fall for someone who might never stay. Letting go feels like the right thing to do. So why does it feel so wrong?

This was an enjoyable story with the two men who met in dramatic circumstances but were also unsure about each other. I did find their relationship to be mostly physical and lacking in other areas as it was confusing if they loved each other or not. I did love Flynn's horse BJ who was very intelligent and had a starring role. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Hot Doggin'

Hot Doggin' by Raquel Riley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

McCormick and Stiles, both haunted by their military pasts, rely on each other for comfort and support. McCormick struggles with the pain of loss, guilt, and loneliness, finding solace in his hobbies and his bond with Stiles. Meanwhile, Stiles grapples with memory loss and confusion about his feelings for McCormick after an unexpected kiss. Despite the complications, their deep connection hints at a unique relationship that could bring healing and hope, if they can navigate the challenges together.

I loved this story with the two complex men who were damaged after injuries sustained during their time fighting for their country. Best friends and a source of support for each other their relationship had changed into love and physical attraction but they realised it at different times. Some humorous moments - just look out for a YouTube video. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Kyler harbors a secret crush on his older, powerful, and kind boss, Miles Huntington. Though he struggles to suppress his feelings, an unexpected hurricane traps them in a shared hotel room—and bed—breaking down Kyler's resolve. As emotions spill over, Kyler faces the uncertain fallout, wondering if he's jeopardized his job or if there’s hope for a deeper connection with Miles.

I loved this story with the body positive attraction Kyler had for Miles. I also enjoyed that Miles was sensitive to the power imbalance between them. Lots of emotions and feelings as they allowed their true feelings for each other out. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Wrong Number, Right Unicorn by Lorelei M. Hart by Colbie Dunbar 3 of 5 stars

Wrong Number, Right Unicorn

Wrong Number, Right Unicorn by Lorelei M. Hart by Colbie Dunbar
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This story follows Davien, who keeps a landline as a promise to his late grandfather. When the phone rings in the middle of the night, past experiences make him wary, but this time it’s just a wrong number—or so it seems. On the other end, Errol is in distress, begging for bail money for "Grams," unaware he’s called the wrong person. Davien could ignore the call, go back to bed, and let it go—but something about Errol’s voice stirs something in him. Now, he faces a choice: get involved in a stranger’s late-night crisis or walk away.

This was an enjoyable story which was a mix of unexpected connections, intrigue, and a hint of unspoken attraction wrapped up in a seemingly random yet fateful call. I liked Davien and his unicorn who was quite amusing. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Misdeeds

Misdeeds by Silvia Violet
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This story follows Ainsley, who takes a wrong turn and ends up at a secluded cabin belonging to Oran, a rugged and grumpy former army ranger. Oran isn't exactly welcoming—his price for shelter is steep—but Ainsley is more than willing to pay, and soon finds himself wanting to stay longer than planned. What starts as a simple exchange turns into something more, leaving Ainsley questioning whether he ever truly wants to leave this unexpected retreat.

This short story is a mix of tension, attraction, and the allure of isolation, wrapped in an intriguing dynamic between two very different personalities. There wasn't much about feelings as much of this story was about their physical relationship. However, there was a HEA. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: My Best Friend’s Brother by Casey Cox 3 of 5 stars

My Best Friend’s Brother

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This story follows Hawk, who accidentally stumbles into a whirlwind of emotional chaos. First, they mistakenly confess their love for their best friend, Emry. Then, in a twist they never saw coming, they hook up with Emry’s older brother, Will—without knowing they were related. When Emry catches them in the act, tensions explode, dragging Hawk into a family feud they never intended to start. As if things weren’t messy enough, Hawk begins developing genuine feelings for Will, despite knowing he’s off-limits. Now, they face an impossible choice: follow their heart and risk losing their best friend, or walk away from something that could be real.

This was a sweet novella which was a story packed with romantic turmoil, tough decisions, and the inevitable clash between love and loyalty. Emry was a bit silly with his sulking but I did like Will who was fairly well adjusted. Easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Hiding From Laughter

Hiding From Laughter by M.A. Innes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a lighthearted, relationship-driven story about Ashton, who is regretting being a little too honest while crafting under the influence. His "jar of fantasies" has now led to an awkward situation where he’s struggling to explain himself—or maybe just avoid the conversation altogether. Micha, his perceptive partner, knows Ashton is hiding something amusing, and is waiting to see how long Ashton can keep up the charade before finally confessing. As their playful dynamic unfolds, their bond strengthens through laughter, teasing, and unexpected closeness.

This was a fun read and a mix of humour, nervous tension, and affectionate moments wrapped in a fun, personal discovery. Ashton was hilarious at times and Micha was careful and very thoughtful. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like D/s and DDLB dynamic.

Little Daredevil by Aria Grace
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Johnny Sutter thrives on adrenaline—his mundane daily life fades away when he’s scaling cliffs or pulling off daring stunts. Those fleeting moments are the only times he truly feels alive. Meanwhile, Sawyer Maddox has grown weary of shallow connections. He wants something real but struggles to find it. Review: IRL: In Real Life by Lucy Lennox by Molly Maddox 3 of 5 stars

IRL: In Real Life

IRL: In Real Life by Lucy Lennox by Molly Maddox
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Conor’s story begins with a misdirected, impulsive text that sparks a steamy exchange with a stranger. What he doesn’t realize is that the recipient is Wells Grange, his infuriatingly controlling business rival. By day, Conor clashes with Wells in high-stakes meetings; by night, he’s drawn to the commanding allure of his anonymous texter. As feelings deepen, Conor struggles to keep his emotions in check. Meanwhile, Wells quickly pieces together that Conor is his mysterious texter. Instead of revealing the truth, he indulges in the flirtation, convinced it’s harmless. But as their professional and personal lives intertwine, Wells finds himself breaking his own rule of keeping emotions out of the equation.

This was an enjoyable tale of mistaken identities, undeniable chemistry, and the blurred lines between rivalry and romance. It did become a bit silly at times but it was still a fun read. The book title did fit the story well. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Royal Crush by E.M. Lindsey 5 of 5 stars

Royal Crush

Royal Crush by E.M. Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Aleric, a once-promising actor recovering from a career-threatening fall from grace, seizes the chance to redeem himself by playing Camillo Soriano, the stoic second-born Prince. Determined to prove himself, he embraces the role—but complications arise when the studio hires a wheelchair consultant to ensure accuracy. That consultant? None other than Camillo himself, who is unimpressed with Aleric’s casting. Tasked with working alongside the real Prince, Aleric bristles under Camillo’s sharp scrutiny. But as their interactions deepen, irritation gives way to an unexpected connection. The more time they spend together, the more Aleric realizes that Camillo may be the only person who truly understands him—and that fate might have had a hand in bringing them together.

I loved this story with its many layers as the two men discovered more about each other and their motivations. Camillo's disability was sensitively handled and written and I loved the factual way some parts were explained. The Royal family dynamics were fascinating and I was glad that the brothers were there for each other. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
