Matthew "Red" Carter is struggling with feelings of inadequacy and despair after his mate, Bodhi, returned to his rightful place as a tiger prince. Red believes his life effectively ended when he was seventeen, feeling he can't measure up to Bodhi's burgeoning future. However, Bodhi, who was stolen as a cub and spent his life hiding, has other plans. Despite being bound by shared loss and an uncertain future, Bodhi recognizes Red as his mate. Armed with love, Bodhi is determined to fight for their relationship and teach Red a new lesson about their bond.
I loved this story with all of the angst, politics and overbearing family. I loved the focus on hearing, understanding and appreciation of feelings and viewpoints. Plenty of drama, danger and emotions in this story. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.
