This story sounds like it's packed with tension! It's about Lawrence, a drifter finally settling down, who needs help from his landlord, Billy, a protective ex-cop. Their shared history and Billy's initial act of playing it cool have created a complicated dynamic. As Billy nurses Lawrence back to health, their attraction grows, but the reappearance of Lawrence's past threatens to shatter any chance of happiness they might find together.
I enjoyed this story with the two men who were drawn together and after a rocky start went back to basics of establishing a friendship first. I loved both of their personalities and understood their pasts and the effect on them. Lawrence's mother was a piece of work. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
