My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Nolan O’Brien, a weary public prosecutor, needs a break after preparing for the trial of the decade. A night out at a men’s club should be harmless—until he literally collides with someone unexpected. Benji Smith, a rent boy fleeing from pursuers, runs straight into Nolan’s car. With nowhere safe to go, he reluctantly accepts Nolan’s offer to stay at his place. What starts as an act of refuge quickly turns into something more complicated, as unexpected attraction sparks between them. But their worlds are poised for a collision far beyond fate’s initial meeting. As danger looms and personal stakes rise, both men must confront what they’re willing to risk, what they’re ready to lose, and what they refuse to let go of.
This was a gripping story of unexpected connection, survival, and the choices that define them. I loved the two men who quickly developed a deep affection for each other. I loved the matter of fact discussions they had about sex and that Nolan had such a refreshing view of sex workers. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
