This was a thrilling paranormal romance! It featured Maximus, a workaholic soul collector from another realm, who discovers his fated mate is Kym, a human with hidden powers. While dealing with their instant connection and the challenges of different worlds, they also face a growing evil that threatens Maximus's realm and puts children in danger. Both Maximus and Kym are torn between their responsibilities and their feelings for each other, questioning if they can choose love over their current lives as they team up to fight the chaos.
I loved this story with the complexities of the evil threat and trying to understand and fight it. They also had the attraction between them both which reinforced the mate bond. Lots of danger and drama as they faced evil and worked to protect the innocent. Lots of emotions and feelings as they developed their relationship. This was an MM story with mature content.
