My rating: 4 of 5 stars
August has spent the past year avoiding Emery, his reckless and frustrating stepbrother. But when they get lost together in the snowy mountains of Utah, survival forces them to lower their defences. As the tension between them shifts, August begins to see beyond Emery’s chaos to the warmth and charm beneath. What once irritated him now feels like perfection, leading him to question everything he thought he knew about him—and himself.
I loved this story with the two men who had become brothers via the marriage of their parents. Their connection was intense and impossible to ignore. Emery had a lot of PTSD from his childhood and I loved the way that August tried to help him and understand the reasons behind his sometimes strange behaviour. A lot of feelings and emotions in this story. This was an MM story with mature content.
