Corey, seeking protection after exposing his bosses' crimes, is sent to live in a historic townhouse with Dom, a reserved and scarred ex-assassin. Though Dom initially seems distant—and notably much older—Corey is intrigued by him, both emotionally and physically. As secrets unravel, including mutual threats from a shared enemy, their bond deepens, revealing Dom isn't as "straight" as Corey believed. Amidst danger and vulnerability, their connection turns physical, but Corey wonders if Dom's guarded heart will ever truly open to love.
I loved this story with the grumpy Dom and sunshine Corey who were put together through a shared danger and Dom's ability to protect Corey. Lots of amusing moments as well as the development of the two men and their relationship. Easy to , feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
