Review: Who Said Mobsters Were Scary? by J.F. Miev by Aria Clark 3 of 5 stars

Who Said Mobsters Were Scary?

Who Said Mobsters Were Scary? by J.F. Miev by Aria Clark
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Leo is a character who leaves the US seeking a fresh start but encounters a captivating and persistent mafia heir who offers a tempting job that he intends to refuse. Despite his charm and allure, he initially dismisses him, attributing his attraction to a lack of intimacy. Chai is a mafia heir who seeks a new bodyguard and finds Leo after being saved from an attack. Intrigued by Leo's reckless personality and striking blue eyes, he becomes determined to have him despite the disapproval he expects from his family. Their connection deepens as both combat their own feelings and pasts, leading to an undeniable attraction.

I enjoyed this story but did find the characters a bit shallow and over time the humour and their mannerisms became annoying. I'm not sure if it was quite the book for me. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
