Criminal defense attorney Zane Devereaux is close to achieving his career goals and financial independence. He’s determined not to let anyone, including the vulnerable and appealing Connor Talbot, into his life. Connor, a veteran who lost a leg and suffered brain damage from an IED, is rebuilding his life with the help of a new family in Seattle. After a chance encounter, Zane and Connor begin a no-strings-attached physical relationship fueled by intense chemistry. However, as their connection deepens, both men must confront their past wounds and decide if a future together is worth fighting for despite the emotional challenges.
I loved this story with the two men who started with a physical attraction which over time manifested into a loving relationship. I thought that the injuries from Connor's military service were well handled and written. I loved the twist at the end. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
