The story revolves around Matias de la Vega, a skilled vigilante, and Sam Wittier, a single father and widower. Matias seeks to eliminate a stalker threatening Sam, but their chemistry creates complications. Despite Matias's emotionally distant and rough exterior, he finds himself drawn to Sam, who is still grieving the loss of his partner. Sam, meanwhile, struggles with his unexpected attraction to Matias, who disrupts his quiet life. As their passionate connection deepens, they confront lingering ghosts from their pasts - some they are ready to lay to rest and others that refuse to let go. Through danger, obsession, and emotional challenges, the two men must decide if they can bridge the gap between their differences to find healing and love.
I loved this story with all the drama as well as tenderness as Sam coped with the loss of his late partner and whether he could or even should move on. The two men were perfect for each other and the passion between each other was sizzling hot. An emotional story full of feelings. This was an MM story with mature content.
