FBI analyst Dalton Reed’s name is on Sid Virgil's hit list, but he knows he won’t do it. Though he hasn’t seen Dalton in twenty-seven years, they have a history together. He saved Sid's life many years ago, and he doesn’t even realise it. Now, it’s his turn to save him and his young son. Saving Dalton puts Sid's life at risk with his assassin family, but he owes it to him, and he owes it to himself. Dalton Reed hasn’t seen Sid in twenty-seven years, and he now finds him standing between Dalton and his escape. He insists he wants to help, but he was sent to kill him so it is hard to trust him. He was a bastard to him growing up as a teen, and he's sure he’s a bastard now. He’s a killer. But Dalton is being hunted, and he has no choice but to let Sid help. His son is all that matters. Can these two men see beyond their past to save Dalton before it’s too late? Can Sid’s family forgive him for his betrayal?
I enjoyed this story of the two men who had a bad past history and how Sid managed to get around that and get his family to accept them so that they could live life as a family together. There was a lot of drama and action in this story that definitely stopped anyone from being bored of the sizzling chemistry between these two men. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
