How do you live when you are not supposed to be alive? Pink took a bullet in the brain for his friends. An exchange he was happy to make. But his friends are paranormals with magical healing skills. So here he is. Healing physically. Alive when he was ready for death. At least his intended sacrifice worked. Everyone is free now and no longer slaves in a billionaire's harem. Pink is a vessel. He absorbs magic he cannot wield. He has to give it to a mage via intimacy. His ever helpful friends have found someone. A mage who is happy to live in a campervan at the bottom of the garden and only interact with Pink when he is needed. Except Monty is unlike anyone he's ever met. He has never been with anyone before. He is kind. He is gentle. He treats Pink with respect. He doesn't see him as an object to be used. He just might be worth living for.

I loved this story as the two men fell in love with each other and had no clue or bad timing to be able to tell each other. There was more danger and drama around the plots to bring back the fae and thankfully they seem to have been thwarted. I loved both men who felt very real and easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
