My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Former president Everett Shaw, nearing sixty and haunted by the loss of his partner, is living a lonely life. When his estranged son is injured, Everett seeks to mend their relationship. Special Agent Jonathan Nash, assigned to protect Everett, battles his own feelings for the former president, knowing he must maintain professional boundaries. Meanwhile, former Navy SEAL Gage Fortier, who works with an underground vigilante group, finds himself drawn to both Everett and Nash while helping Everett's injured son. As their lives intertwine, the three men navigate their complex emotions and past traumas, eventually forming an unexpected bond.
I loved this story with the three men working through their emotions and feelings as it became clear that they needed each other. Everett was a great character with his historic loss and pain and I loved Nash who was strong and supportive for Everett. Then there was Gage who was strong enough for them all. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content.
