Review: Silent Is the Heart by Dianna Roman 4 of 5 stars

Silent Is the Heart

Silent Is the Heart by Dianna Roman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The story follows Easton Bennick, a man who lost everything—his childhood, voice, and a loved one - on a devastating night. Now a reserved adult with deep scars, Easton resides at Hampton Hills Rehabilitation Center. Aaron Manicki, a former speech pathologist at Hampton Hills, returns years later searching for purpose and reconnects with Easton, who has grown into a guarded and complex man. Aaron’s efforts to help Easton regain his voice evolve into a mutual journey of healing and self-discovery. Their intertwined paths explore themes of second chances, emotional vulnerability, and redemption. As Aaron attempts to break through Easton’s barriers, he must also confront his own struggles and question if he’s prepared to truly listen to what Easton’s heart has to say.

This was a story full of emotions and feelings as Easton struggled with a lot of pain and devastation in his life which had changed irrevocably and Aaron who tried to help Easton but then had his own difficulties after moving away from the area. Plenty of drama and action in this story which had a great HEA at the end. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
