Jace Christenson, a former sniper, has lost nearly everything after ten years of war. He finds solace in his work with an underground vigilante group and avoids emotional connections. When Caleb Cortano, a young man Jace saved two years ago, goes missing, Jace is forced to confront his feelings for him. Caleb, a victim of his father's crimes, struggles with his sanity and finds peace only with Jace. As Caleb faces the possibility of reuniting with his father, he takes desperate measures, bringing him back into Jace's life. Determined not to fail Caleb again, Jace vows to protect him and help piece his life back together. Both men, shattered by their pasts, must find a way to heal and determine if they can be whole together.
I loved this story which was full of emotions and feelings. Both men were perfect for each other. There was a lot of passion between them and that underpinned their relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
