Review: To Catch a Firefly by Emmy Sanders 4 of 5 stars

To Catch a Firefly

To Catch a Firefly by Emmy Sanders
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ellis has always loved his best friend, Lucky Buchanan, who is wild, daring, and the opposite of Ellis in every way. Despite knowing that Lucky was never his to keep, Ellis' heart belongs to him. When Lucky returns to town, Ellis struggles with the tension between them and the possibility of losing his friend. Ellis realises he must confess his feelings to Lucky, even though he fears he won't be able to hold onto someone so free-spirited.

This really enjoyed this story of the two best friends who fell in love and found a way to be together even though Lucky had to leave for his job and passion. Lucky always returned to Ellis who was his person. I loved the way that Ellis' neurodivergence was handled and that it was clear that it made no difference to Lucky. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
